"This hotel was a great place to stay. The staff were all super friendly. The hotel is an older hotel with all the qualities you would expect to find in such. The bottom line is the sheets were clean. the bed was comfortable and the staff was friendly. It was close to Bush Gardens which is a plus."

"This motel has seen better days. It was a 'cheap hotel' for a 'cheap price.' When we arrived, did not have a room with 2 beds as per our reservation. After much insistence on our part they finally found one for us. Everything needs to be painted & cleaned. Hallways & stairwells needed to be hi-pressure washed. In the 3 days we were there no effort made to pick up loose trash dropped by occupants. Buffet breakfast was tasteless. Third day we left & ate breakfast off site. The TG Fridays restaurant that is attached to the hotel was excellent. Highly recommend it."

"This was the nastiest place I have ever stayed in. I wished I would have taken the reviews words for it. The outside was dark (poor lighting going to the room), the paint was probably the original paint from 1963, dirt in every corner in the room. Probably the worst thing I can say while waking my child, I seen several cigarette burns in the blanket she was using. We ate the breakfast, trying not to think about how nasty the kitchen was if the room was that bad. RECONSIDER STAYING HERE!!!!"

"The hotel was not exactly clean. The pictures on the website far outweigh the actual experience. We checked in later in the evening due to our traveling experience and actually felt scared. We hurried our children into the room but had to climb a nastly dark stairwell to do it. The carpet was disgusting/old and recommend wearing flip flops at all times. It is sad to admit but I actually checked the bed for bugs! We actually used to live near Tampa and thought the area was going to be fine on this visit but this hotel did not secure a good safe feeling unfortunately. We stayed in the far back of hotel with 3 kids on the top floor checking in at night...not ever again!!!"

"I wish I would of read the reviews before booking this. The hotel was old and the beds were 20 yrs old. You could also tell they did not clean it very well. There was at least 5 yrs of dust in the corner of counter. We stayed for 4 nights and didn't get room service till the 3rd night. I would save your money and go somewhere else."

"The woman at the check in desk was extremely rude. She argued with me that I didn't already pay for the room and then tried to tell me I used a credit card that I don't even have. After she realized she was wrong, she didn't even apologize. The room was gross. I wouldn't let my family walk on the carpet in bare feet. We wore our flip flops in the room. The pool area was pretty nice and my son liked the kid's area. The woman at the breakfast buffet was also rude. The guest in front of me had grabbed a bowl that apparently was only for cereal and the lady wouldn't serve her grits in it. Who cares about the type of bowl? I would not recommend this hotel and will not be returning."

"when I first arrived they had my reservation as cancelled,I booked this trip back on feb 7th enough time to have had a decent room in a decent location,(not happening) and then the pool wasn't even heated as mentioned the one mechanic even admitted to it! the front desk had no clue, that was the whole meaning of thistrip was to be able to enjoy swim time,very dis-appointing and the breakfast kept running out of things,you would think with the amount of people there during spring break and conferences they would have been better prepared,I WILL BE SCRATCHING THIS HOTEL OFF THE LISTS TO VISIT IN THE FUTURE!!!!!!! Then on top of everything else the shuttle to the park was a one time trip thats it! I would of done better sleeping in the car.... BEST REGARDS.."

"I changed hotels to Clarion because the last experience at a different hotel was not that great. I found the same lack of maintenance and cleanliness at the Clarion. The room we booked was not available - got a queen bed instead of king. Had to go to front desk second day to get key reset to open the room. However, the staff were responsive to requests for repairs. The breakfast buffet was pretty good. If I go to Tampa again, I will still be looking for a better option and try some other hotel. I am beginning to wonder if is possible for find a decent hotel in the Tampa area. Must be the humidity!"

"Hotel was ok nothing special. Staff was great. r... for the first 5 days I had to go down and recheck in everyday. When I checked in they only had the reservation from 12/27 - 12/31 instead of what was booked to 1/5... Took 4 days to fix that and it was extended to 1/4... Took another 3 days to fix that and get the reservation through my trip. Additionally I had to go every few days to get my breakfast coupons as they only give you those through the days you are booked... Lost multiple hours of the trip standing at the front desk trying to fix the reservation so it matched the confirmation and trip I paid for."

"This hotel is absolutely terrible, there was one person working, had to wait to check in, could not find the room, finally found the room and it was disgusting, it was dirty, there were people walking through the parking lot asking me to use my cell phone, not safe at all. Then the last straw, before I even had a chance to unpack my suit case, cock roaches started walking across the TV. I zipped up my suitcase and went back to the lobby to cancel my room of course I had to wait another 45 minutes and when I told the desk attanded there were cock Roaches in my room he did not act suprised at all. My experience was awful I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, in fact I feel that this website should not even offer a booking for this hotel, it definately makes Bookit look bad, there must not be high standards to got on the list at Bookit."
