"I was so very disappointed at our stay at the Top of the Gulf. I rented a 'gulf front studio suite' and it was very small and no balcony. Nowhere to hang a wet beach towelI. Ihave stayed at the Barefoot before which is through the same Royal American and it was great. The price for the room was way too high for the room we got and then the extra fees that I had to pay when I check in was unbelievable. This trip was for my grandkids for spring break and because the had made A/B honor roll and what a let down it was. I have been going to PCB for 40 years. I have never stayed at a condo that did not have a hot tub. NEEDLESS TO SAY MY STAY WAS VERY VERY DISAPPOINTING AND WILL NEVER EVER STAY AT THE TOP OF THE GULF AGAIN!"

"We had a change of plans at the last minute because of hurricane sandy so we ended up going to panama city beach. We booked a condo at Top of the Gulf wow was we in for a surprise, dirty room, smell, hair on the sheets needless to say we did not stay there. We were offered a room at the hotel it looked like it needed to be rented by the hour!! We finally got a condo at ' The Boardwalk' much more expensive but better. Needless to say you would be better off to stay somewhere else."

"I agree that Top of the Gulf is in dire need of an upgrade. My condo looked nothing like the pics on the website. Hallways smelled of urine, blinds were torn, dishes were greasy. The location was nice and staff was pretty friendly but that is about all I can say. Do not think I will be staying at Top of the Gulf again."

"P.C.B. was AWESOME!!! We stayed in Top of the Gulf....Room #716 needs an upgrade !!!!!!!!! Someone urinated in the hallway...even after I went to the welcome center, and was told it would be taken care of.. it never was!!! The staff at the rental center was awesome....but the hotel needs an upgrade!!!!!!!"

"Due to a change in plans, we were able to come back to Panama City Beach to stay one more night before heading home. Because of the change in plans, it was difficult (to say the least) to find a room on a Saturday night for just one night. We were booked at Top of the Gulf Condos...Not impressed - at all. Over priced for the quality, hidden fees (parking, cleaning, and who knows what else), out dated room with a funky smell, snack bar by the pool was never open (just wanted to buy ice, but nobody ever there). The only nice thing about TofG was the gate personnel was nice enough to let some of our party park in the lot with us until their room at a different location was ready."

"For 30 mins in their handy man came and told me that i could not use the water in the room due to draining problems in the room below. left the room and for 2 hrs and come back and the room smell from the drain problem orther then me over paying for the room my trip was fine i guess"

"this place is a dump it is shocking that they even are allowed to rent it out to anyone, it is not a condo it is 1 room and 1 bathroom we payed a fee for housekeeping and we had to mop the floor when we got there no one could tell us about anything we wanted an iron and they sent us to 5 different people which never lead us to an iron. they guard the palce like it is a mansion and there is nothing to be guarding. when we checked out it took us 30 minutes to find the place where we needed to turn our keys in because it is not the same place you check in it is 3 hotels down the road. i called and spoke with the manager when we left and he did nothing but say he was sorry. we wanted a cheap trip and you for sure get less than u pay for !!! never stay at this place"

"Horrible experience. The room did not look nice like the pictures. The bathroom is very small. Overall the room was very old and dirty looking. Everytime we would open the blinds, one would fall off. The TV didn't work well. The fridge seemed to stop working at some point. The bathroom sink leaked underneath and got all of our personal items wet. We were told at check in that they were not giving out wristbands for this complex. My kids were hassled each day for not having them. Everytime we would drive thru security they would give us a hard time because we didnt have wristbands and we would have to go thru the story over and over how the management co told us they werent giving them out. We were told to go back to management co and when we went there they would tell us to go to guard or office at complex. We finally got wristbands the 3rd day. Also, they forgot to give us a parking pass to enter. We spent alot of our time going back and forth trying to get the things we were suppose to have when we arrived. I would definately not recommend this property at all for anyone. We originally chose it because of its location and the pictures looked nice. Definately not worth it."

"Most horrible vacation ever. The room was nasty, bugs. The pool was closed due to a pump that was down. We were told Only AFTER we dipped in the pool that there was a chance that we could have been electrocuted. Also the Mgr. told us that it would be 5 - 10 days before it could be repaired. Then there was tape around the pool. The owner of this dump would not even return our phone call. We could have gotten past this issue if there had been a return call. Went home 3 days early."
