"Once again, we had an excellent stay at the Beachbreak. The weather was beautiful for February and we were able to enjoy the heated pool and jacuzzi. It is the best place to stay for a Pier Park festival. It's close enough to walk to the activities and I enjoyed watching the fireworks from the jacuzzi. The only suggestions I would have is that they liven up the continental breakfast a bit with some cereal, instant grits or toast. Also, I requested a non-smoking room when I booked and all they had left were smoking rooms. Surprisingly, the room didn't smell like smoke at all. Also, we stayed on the first floor, which was conveniently located by the pool entrance and beach access, but it wasn't so convenient to get to our vehicle or the office. The room was very clean and we received housekeeping unlike the last stay. All in all, I was very pleased and had an enjoyable stay."

"Everything was great(location,view,area,and attendants).The carpet in the room was very scary,and the beds seemed clean,but on the hard side.The Attendants on the beach for rentals were miss leading.Things like.....All day rentals of beach chairs and umbrellas....not only for 8am till 4 or 5pm.most people go out early,and return to the beach for the rest of the day to relax,and enjoy.REALLY!!!!!!That gives the everyone a bad name."

The staff were great, very pleasant people. I do suggest the following:
1. Offer a little more on the breakfast. We were planning on just eating at the hotel, but when all you have is either a muffin/bagel and yogart. That's more of a mid morning snack.
2. Parking. There was additional parking in the back of a store, but there should be security out there also.
3. Hotel details should describe the kitchen more. I wasn't aware of ther being a stove and dishes available.

All in all we had a great time, the best part was getting engaged!!"

"Front desk staff very helpfull and friendly. Location and amenities were just as advertised. Condition of room leaves lot to be desired. 2 TVs in room but only 1 remote control, shower water handles broken and hard to regulate, AC would not maintain temp constantly having to adjust, housekeeping never got to our room before 4:00pm then didnt empty trash for 3 days, did not leave any TP, did not leave clean towels. I guess for late booking and price it was not too bad but next time I will look elsewhere and book earlier."

"Overall a good experience. Staff was friendly and rooms were clean but somewhat outdated. I don't mind as long as its clean and functional. Only issue was: we worked all day, drove 9 hrs to get there and checked in around 1am, was told to park in a certain place (no problem), in bed by 3am, was woke up at 8am and was told to move our car. I was NOT happy and complained. With this said, later that day, we were given a 10$ off card to their restaurant.. Very good food. So it seems they were about making things right. on vacation, we just would have like to woke up.. when we woke up! Would book there again."

"The good part about this hotel is the location and the view. The staff were very nice also, considering what they have to deal with. I had booked a room with a microwave and fridge. They gave me a unit with a stove-I didn't need a stove! I needed a microwave. When I ask the staff for one, they said they were out of them. The 'new' looking fridge never worked. The staff came twice, but never fixed. I ask for another one and they said there were not any, nor any other rooms. We had to go to Walmart and purchase a cooler to use in the room. Yes, there is a microwave in the lobby-but that is inconvienent and not what I booked. I would only return there if traveling alone and wanting a cheap room just for sleep."

"This place is very dirty. Upon arrival we had to talk to the front desk because the room we were in was absolutely disgusting. The staff reported they had reported this room to management but that they were expected to occupy the room. The night front desk lady is rude and routinely complains about the patrons. She ignores their needs. There were bugs on the property that appear to be large cock roaches. This is our second trip to Panama City. I would suggest putting up extra money for a nicer place on the beach or go to one of the nice hotels that are not on the beach for about the same price."

"put us on 1st floor by the pool which could not see the beach, the room smelled horrible had to go walmart and spend $20 just in airfreshners to bare the smell, roaches and water bugs, cold water..i know this was memorial wknd but def over priced to have deal with the room condition. the staff at front desk were very nice and other than that it sucked..we come to panama twice a year and have never complained once but i def would NOT recommend staying here!!! "

"The balcony view was beautiful! The room was good for 2 people, who pretty much only used it to sleep at night and shower. It was kinda small and the carpet could use a cleaning, but it was good. Our room had a kitchen that was pretty well stocked with the basics. I only got in the heated pool 1 time but it seemed to be clean and in good repair. I have no complaints at all about our stay. We would definitely stay here again! I was worried about what kind of room we were gonna end up with because we waited until the week before Thunder Beach Motorcycle Rally to book our room and I had searched online and called another site trying to find a room but everything was filled up. "

"Enjoyed our visit last year. This year, our stay wasn't so nice with noisy teens keeing us awake all night. The pool area needed many repairs, with numerous broken or missing tiles, some right in front of the pool steps. The fence needed painting, and the entire outside of the building could have benefited from new paint as well. The location is great- near Pier Park and right on the beach. Also liked the restaurant right next door with our guest discount."

"The Beachbreak by the Sea is older like most reviews state. I shared a 'room' with a friend so the nice part was having two separate baths and sleeping areas with doors. It is a clean place. The breakfast is all breads except for oranges and drinks. So, if you are avoiding carbs this isn't the place for you to eat breakfast. But there is a diner directly across the street that has a GREAT buffet with everything you would want plus great fresh fruit. One day my friend told the maid not to make our beds thus they weren't ever made again! I guess she assumed. Another nice thing is the balcony with the ocean view where I saw dolphin playing in the ocean each morning. The building is only 4 stories so it is not a hike to go to your room like the huge condos are. The beach area and pool weren't crowded. The only time the hot tub was really busy was at night when groups would take it over for hours. If you are only there to land your head and don't want to spend a lot, it works. If you want a nicer facility with all of the amenities this place isn't for you."

"The location of the hotel is unbeatable. The pool is very nice, and the adjacent restaurant was great. The hotel is older and a little beat up, but not run down. They are replacing beds now, as we got a brand new one for our room! Unfortunately, we did see some bugs in our room. I know that the southern states get these more than we do up north, but it was still offputting."

"We had a great time at Panama City Beach and this hotel was great for the money we spent. The only thing I would have liked was new carpet. The carpets were pretty bad and needed to be replaced but for a cheap vacation it was great."

"We stayed at Beachbreak for our honeymoon, first time to Panama City, and LOVED it. I read the reviews for the hotel when booking it, but it turned out better than expected. Hotel is a little older, but room was clean and staff was wonderful. Pool and hot tub were also nice. As well as being steps from the white sand. Balcony had a great view, except for all the palm trees in the way, so try and get a 3rd of 4th floor room if you are really going to be on the balcony a lot. Barefoot Beach Club next door had awesome food. The hotel could use some cosmetic work and updates but overall an enjoyable experience, and WELL worth the money for location. Will stay there again for vacation next year!"

"I would recommend to those who are on a budget, and want to be in a hotel on the beach. The hotel needs some work on appearance. "I have stayed at the Beachbreak by the Sea for a few years now and have always had a great trip. But this past weekend was great, not only did I get to see Jason Aldean but I didn't have to share a bathroom with two teenage boys! I just expected a room with two beds and I got two rooms with two bathrooms! How nice to not have to sleep in the same room with my sons! Our room was great!"

"Had us a great stay at the Beachbreak by the Sea in Panama City Fl.

Arrived late in the evening and was upgraded from an standard double room to a suite. Hotel is right on the beach so we had little walking to do in order to get to the water ( good for us, having a small child and a infant to carry) Rooms and pool were very comfortable. Its an older hotel but rooms were clean. Nice having the option of eating the continental breakfast provided in the lobby. Staff very pleasant even let us have a later check out @ 12noon instead of 10am. Would stay here again.

"The hotel was in a great location. Right next door to barefoot beach club which was great to have lunch and drinks right on the beach just steps from our room. But wasn't anywhere close to walking distance to pier park... The staff was extremely nice, room was clean but old and needs updated. Beds extremely uncomfortable, they REALLY need to replace the mattresses..... We had a blast!!!! Great time of year to go to the beach, not too crowded and the beaches and water were beautiful!"

"We enjoyed our stay at Beachbreak by the Sea. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I only have 2 complaints. We did not have cell phone signals in the room or around the pool (We were on the ground floor). I did ask if we could change rooms but I was told that since the building was an older one that the signals were few and far between. That's my biggest complaint as I do like to be able to be reached in case of emergency even though I know that the family could call the front desk to convey the msg. My second complaint no elevator. Otherwise, it was a good place to stay. "

"We come here the first three months of the year and love the staff,the guest,they come back every year.We seem to be like family as we join together at the pool and hot tub.We go to to the mall,watch the parades.walk the beach,Golf and play card games in the evening.Never a dull moment.We watch the sunset most every evening with a glass of wine."
