"I went here with my friends on a senior-year spring break trip, and the Royal Floridian exceeded all of our expectations.

The room itself was beautiful, with an oceanview balcony, two bedrooms, a fully stocked kitchen and living room. Some of the bedsheets were dirty (strange red stains on a pillow...) but that was a minor setback to a beautiful room. The price was very reasonable for such amenities, especially when compared to other hotels in the region. The resort overall was wonderful as well. Indoor and outdoor pools, as well as beach access and other various things to do (i.e. shuffleboard).

But the thing that really set this hotel apart was the super friendly staff. We got there several hours ahead of schedule, and weren't expecting to check in until 4pm. But the staff treated us so well, and let us check in at noon. Their hospitality was very kind, and definitely made our trip even more enjoyable.

The only potential downside is the location. Ormond beach is a lot less crowded than Daytona just a couple of miles down the road, which was something we considered to be a plus since it was quiet. But at the same time, if you want to go out and enjoy Daytona's night-life and etc, you'd have to drive since it is so far from Seashore and Main St. Not a deal breaker, but it can be problematic since parking is a pain during busy times, and you could simply walk there from your room at other hotels closer to the action.

Overall, this was a wonderful experience. We got an incredible ocean-view room at extremely low pricing, and were treated very well the entire time. The location out of walking distance from the night-life and Daytona overall, but Ormond beach is still beautiful and quiet. Definitely recommended."

"Overall, the stay was nice. We did not get the floor level we asked for - I even called the hotel directly, and the shower and toilet had issues. The next day they did move us to another room on a higher level and the room was nice. The staff was very friendly and accomodating, they made the room change the following day with no problems. Just confirm the room/floor you want directly with the hotel otherwise it can be noisy over the pool or play area. We had a nice stay and would recommend."

"We stayed in the new South building and the one bedroom unit was like new, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable and quiet. There were plenty of activities to keep a 12- and 16-yr old occupied, and the staff were all extremely helpful and pleasant. A wonderful stay!"
