"I did like the hiden fee that you have to paid no matter what. The hotel charge extra $10 per day of staying at the hotel for shuttle bus to theme park but the shuttle bus time is very limited. The hair dryer doesn't work. Hotel wifi doesn't work well, I have to use my own wifi."

"The room was nice for the amount of money that we paid.

We had to pay an additional $10 per day once we arrived for Wifi (which we were not able to use in our room)

The $10 also included the FREE shuttle fee. So the FREE shuttle fee was really not FREE. Also, the times for the shuttles are ridiculous.

We had 4 people on our reservation and we had to leave a note twice for the maid to leave enough towels and wash clothes for 4 people."

"The room was very basic and was fine for the 1 night we needed to stay, but there was hair all over the bathroom floor, shower, and toilet. The floors were dirty in general ( It's pretty bad when you feel dirty taking off your shoes) I would never take a long stay at this 'Resort'."

"Certainly NOT a 3 star!! Ants all over the room, no courtin in shower, musty smell...Left a day earlier because we were VERY dissapointed!!!!! No Wi-Fi connection. Staff were very friendly, but it really was not enough for us to be happy in this hotel."

"The hotel itself is very run down and not well maintained. Its 3 1/2 star rating is way off. The bathroom was dirty, stains on the bedsheets, no internet connection and there was a bunch of hair on the door knob to get into the room. When I complained about the stained greyish sheets (very old), they sent some guy who came with sheets who dumped them on the bed and said I don't make beds!! The new sheets were as old and grey as the ones on the bed. The Ice Machine was very dirty with soot or something all over it. The concrete walk ways and buildings need to be painted and cleaned. The rooms are in dire need of upgrading. You will get a great rate, but beware that you will get what your paying for. "

"My trip to Orlando with my kids was cut short due to the poor customer service received from the Maingate lakeside resort staff and their policies. The rooms were ant raided and the service was not communicative through the entire staff. The staff apparently took their que from management and this was horrible. My stay was abruptly shorten due to the lack of management involvement and no compensation offered for the horrible way we were or I should say, I was treated. As a paying customer, any service that is lacking should be addressed and promptly and a follow up should be offered... none was offered. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and as the saying goes, 1 happy customer tells 10... 1 unhappy customer tells 40 and trust me I will make it known that this service was horrible and would not recommend them or the booking service used."

"I had a great time at the Maingate Lakeside Resort. Yes its not the Ritz and Yes they can do a bit of redecorating but the place has a friendly staff, an awesome buffet, a cool bar and the rooms...well...they were clean and they were kept cool and were cleaned every day by housekeeping. We paid $33.00 a night. I wasnt expecting a marching band or champagne in my room. Everyone was very friendly from the Front Desk to the Maintenance man we passed in the hall. If you are looking to do Disney on a Dime this is the place to stay. If you want to waste your money on ambiance...go to the Swan and Dolphin. This is a place to sleep at night and spend the rest of your vacation out doing stuff. We've already booked for October."

"UPON ARRIVING, THE STAFF AT THE FRONT DESK WERE VERY NICE.
UPON ARRIVING AT THE ROOM I FOUND THAT IT WAS NO RESORT AND DEFINITELY NO 3 STAR FACILITY!
THE BED SHEETS WERE STAINED. THE AMBIENCE OF A RESORT FACILITY WAS NOT FELT. IT WAS DEPRESSING TO SEE WHAT I HAD GOTTEN FOR MY MONEY.
IF THE POLICY WAS REFUNDABLE I WOULD DEFINITELY ASK FOR A REFUND AND GONE TO A REAL RESORT."

"We stayed for three nights they quote you a price per night but when you check in it goes up because of the tax and security depoist they dont let you know about snakes on the grounds no free breakfest no airport shuttle once you get there and check in your there to fend for your self"

"What a pleasant surprise. The hotel is so close to Disney World and the amenities are abundant. They do provide shuttle service to Disney and Orlando, but only at very limited availability."
