"My partner and I had a fabulous experience at the resort. We booked the trip as a mystery resort based on a 4.5 rating and Oceanview. This is an intimate resort which provided a high level of comfort.
The staff were excellent.....extremely friendly and accommodating.
Our Junior Suite had an excellent view and was top notch. The cleaning staff were exceptional.
There are 4 excellent restaurants and 1 buffet which provided a nice variety. Reservations were NOT required for meals.
Nightly entertainment was provided which we enjoyed. Recreational activities were available throughout the day. The staff encouraged participation and yet respected one's approach to privacy and relaxation.
We would highly recommend this resort."

"We did a mystery deal this year given the fact that we were very pleased with our location last year. We knew the chances of returning to a secrets resort was good and we were excited about the prospect. Unfortunately we were very disappointed in our stay. We in fact moved to a different resort 3 days into our stay. To start with, we checked in and taken to our room at which time our keys to our room didn't work. We waited in the hallway with our luggage for 10 minutes prior to fixing (no big deal overall). When we were able to get into our room, we went to get a beverage out of our refridgerator and the drinks were barely cold. At approximately 4:35 pm we went to a restaurant that was supposed to be open until 5:00 to get lunch and on our arrival we were initially told they were closed. After discussion with another staff member, we were allowed to eat. After ordering our meals, the staff began converting the area into the restaurant for the evening (table cloths, chair covers, etc) They in fact came over and removed our salt and pepper shakers and table decoration prior to even getting our food. We found this very disrespectful!!! Unfortunately all of this occurred within 1 1/2 hours of arrival.

The overall resort is older. The guests there were a bit on the 'elder' side. The staff overall was not very helpful! We were in the pool a couple of times in which there was not a bartender and we had to get out of the pool, get a drink, and then return to the pool. Food overall was ok. There are a few scheduled activities throughout the day however again not many people participate. As far as evening entertainment, we did not see the shows however there are no outdoor bars to enjoy at night and there is only one bar open in the evening. Overall we were very disappointed with our stay and were lucky enough to have been able to go to another resort to enjoy the latter half of our vacation."
